ThunderBeard: A Tribute to ZZ Top
Friday, June 19th at Lakemont Park in Altoona (Rockin’ The Yard)
Get ready for a night of classic rock as ThunderBeard brings the music and energy of ZZ Top to Lakemont Park. Sing along to legendary hits like “La Grange,” “Tush,” and “Sharp Dressed Man” while enjoying an authentic tribute to one of rock’s most iconic bands. Special guest Flying Monkeys opens the show.
Perfect for fans of classic rock, live music, and summer concerts under the stars.
The Firefly: Silent Fireworks
Saturday, June 20th from 8-9pm at Fort Roberdeau
Experience one of nature’s most magical summer displays during an evening firefly walk at Fort Roberdeau. As darkness settles over the fields, visitors will have the opportunity to witness hundreds of glowing fireflies lighting up the landscape in a dazzling display often called nature’s silent fireworks.
Along the way, learn about the fascinating life cycle of fireflies, why they glow, what they eat, and how we can help protect these remarkable insects for future generations. This family-friendly program offers a unique chance to connect with nature while exploring the fort’s scenic grounds after dark.
Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and bring a flashlight. The walk begins at the back of the barn and is co-sponsored by the Juniata Valley Audubon Society. A rain date will be announced on social media if needed.
Star-Spangled Symphony
Saturday, June 20th at 7:30 PM at PNG Field in Altoona
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday at PNG Field with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra during this patriotic community concert. Enjoy an inspiring evening of patriotic music, local performances, and pre-concert entertainment as Blair County joins the America250PA celebration.
Gates open at 6:30 PM.
The Beat Goes On: Cher Tribute Show
Friday, June 26th at the Mishler Theatre in Altoona
Celebrate the music and legacy of Cher with The Beat Goes On, a theatrical concert experience starring Lisa McClowry. Featuring a full live band, immersive visuals, and audience interaction, the show brings Cher’s iconic hits and story to life for an unforgettable evening of entertainment.

Adrenalize: The Ultimate Def Leppard Experience
Saturday, June 27th at 8 PM at the Roundhouse Harley-Davidson in Duncansville
Rock out at the Pennsylvania Roundhouse Rally as Adrenalize brings the ultimate Def Leppard tribute to the stage. This high-energy performance delivers all the classic hits and arena-rock sound fans know and love.

Music in The Burg: The Band Oz
Sunday, June 28 at 6pm at Canal Basin Park Ampitheater
Enjoy an evening of live music at Canal Basin Park with The Band OZ, a popular Altoona-based group known for blending blues, jazz, rock, and soul into an energetic and entertaining performance.
Featuring a mix of classic favorites and original music, The Band OZ delivers a sound that keeps audiences engaged from start to finish.
The free concert begins at 6:00 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a summer evening of live music in downtown Hollidaysburg.
In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be moved to the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School.
American Ride: Toby Keith Tribute
Saturday, July 3rd at Lakemont Park in Altoona (Rockin’ The Yard)
Enjoy an evening of country hits and patriotic energy at Lakemont Park with American Ride, a tribute to Toby Keith, featuring special guest Pletchvello.

The Great American Pillow Fight
Friday, July 3rd at PNG Field in Altoona
Experience one of the wildest events of the summer as the Pillow Fight Championship brings The Great American Pillow Fight to Altoona as part of the America 250 Blair County Celebration.
Enjoy high-energy pillow fight action, family fun, and a spectacular Independence Day fireworks show following the event at PNG Field. Gates open at 6 PM.
Main Line Mania | Wing Fest & Fireworks| Concert
Friday, July 3rd at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona
Kick off Independence Day weekend with an evening of live music, great food, and a spectacular fireworks show at the Railroaders Memorial Museum. Enjoy performances from K4 Kountry, 7th Virtue, and The Voice finalist Josh Gallagher.
Come hungry for Wing Fest, vote for your favorite vendor, and enjoy family-friendly activities, vendors, and refreshments throughout the night. Fireworks light up the sky at dusk.
Saturday, July 4th at Fort Roberdeau
Celebrate Independence Day at Fort Roberdeau with a day of Revolutionary War history, living history demonstrations, and hands-on activities for all ages.
Meet reenactors, explore the frontier fort, and discover what life was like during America’s fight for independence through interactive experiences and educational demonstrations. It’s a fun and engaging way for families to connect with the nation’s history while celebrating the Fourth of July.
The open house runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes free admission and free parking. Experience the Revolution and celebrate America’s birthday at one of Blair County’s most unique historic destinations.
DelGrosso’s Park Summer Thunder Fireworks Show
Saturday, July 4th at DelGrosso’s Park & Laguna Splash in Tipton
Celebrate Independence Day at DelGrosso’s Park with the annual Summer Thunder Fireworks Show! Enjoy a full day of rides, water park fun, and delicious food before a spectacular fireworks display set to music lights up the night sky.
A musical pre-show begins around 9 PM, followed by fireworks at approximately 10 PM.
July 4th Angie Gioiosa Memorial Race

Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 – Historic Visit
July 8–11 in Altoona, Tyrone, and Bellwood
Witness history as Union Pacific’s legendary Big Boy No. 4014—the world’s largest operating steam locomotive—makes a special stop in Altoona as part of its East Coast tour. This once-in-a-generation event brings one of America’s most iconic engineering marvels to the heart of Railroad City.
Public viewing opportunities include a stop along the tracks near the Railroaders Memorial Museum on July 8, followed by a display July 9–10 with shuttle access from PNG Field. A special ticketed viewing at Horseshoe Curve will take place on July 11 (sold out).

Pickled Palooza 2026
Saturday, August 30th at Lakemont Park in Altoona
Get ready for a dill-ightful day at Pickled Palooza! Enjoy pickle beer, unique pickled foods, sweet treats like pickle candy and sno-cones, and browse 30+ pickle-themed vendors. Don’t miss the pickle eating and brine chug contests for kids and adults.

Celebrate the arrival of fall at the 39th Annual Harvestfest at DelGrosso’s Park. This family-friendly autumn festival features delicious food, creative craft vendors, live entertainment, wood carving, kids’ activities, and park rides throughout the weekend.
Admission is $8 and includes rides and entertainment. Enjoy seasonal fun, shopping, and festive fall traditions for all ages.
